Reflection on the use of Camtasia
Camtasia is a software suite created and published by TechSmith. It is a powerful software application that enables us to create a professional- looking videos for video tutorials and presentations. It has plenty of intuitive features that make the production of stunning visuals quick and easy.
We as the citizen of digital, videos are one of the powerful tools that can be used for teaching and learning. Most of the children love watching and they learn through it (visual learners). Researchers have also found that most of the children spent time in watching and playing online. Students can spent their time in watching the meaning academic related videos if teachers can share authentic and attractive video tutorials. So, as a teacher, it is must to have some basic video editing skills and competencies to enhance the learning of the students.
Therefore, to edit the videos, Camtasia is powerful software that we (teachers) can use. This is because it has enough powerful features to create and edit the videos. We can import audios and video (any existing media) on board and make into creative process. By simply drag and dropping various icons, shapes, texts or clips, we can make our videos look more powerful and meaningful. Moreover we also have an option of selecting the animated backgrounds to use to make more attractive.
Hence, Camtasia is a powerful constructive tool to enrich the students with knowledge. It also helps the teachers to prepare, manipulate and organize the information clearly and attractively. It is must for every teacher to use this software as a digital citizen.
