Google form is a free online tool that allows us to collect information easily and efficiently. This is because if we have a network connection, we can easily browse the Google form, which is freely available and then we can create surveys in few minutes to collect the required information.
It has lot of features and option and its interface is very easy to use. Google form also allows us to include different types of questions such as short answers, paragraphs, multiple selection, and verification boxes, pull down, linear scale, grid of several options among others. It also allows us to see how the survey will look before sending it over to the recipients.
We can email it to another email if we have the email address which is very convenient or we can integrate it into our website or send the link via social networks or any other means.  We don’t need extra effort and time to design the form and to collect the information. Furthermore, it is handy as we can email it whenever we are needed within few seconds with the help of our smart phone.
It has also some disadvantage if the students that we have emailed do not respond to our survey due to poor network connection ((especially in remote part of the country) or if the students have limited ICT skills and competencies. Likewise, it is very unlikely, if we are in need of information immediately from every respondent due to the above factor.

The benefits and its drawbacks of using Google Docs

Google Docs is a word processor included as part of a free, web-based software office suite offered by Google within its Google drive service. It was developed by Google LLC.  Google LLC is an American multinational technology company that specializes in internet related services and products.

The use of Google Docs has lot of advantages. With the help of Google Docs we can work collaboratively without coming together. The file will not be corrupted because it will be automatically saved in Google drive and we can export to PDF or word very easily. Google Docs makes us more comfortable because we can express our thoughts without any hesitation. It also saves time because all of can think at a same time and everyone can type at a same time. For example; if we are planning a lesson plan on solar system, one of us can type the lesson objective and few can type the lesson introduction.

Moreover, it helps the users to find out the mistake and make a comment immediately using a comment box. We can invite our friends through Gmail and ask them to read and comment on our work too. It is possible if there is a network connection. Nevertheless, the writing skills and thinking skills of the students can be improved when they work collaboratively using Google Docs.

On the other hand there are also some disadvantages of using Google Docs. Firstly, all the users should have a good network connection to work collaboratively. If any members don’t accept our invite or if they remain passive, we cannot force or ask them personally (as it is not face to face interaction). Since there is no conversation (verbally), it made me to feel like robots working. So, it will definitely affect our communication skills.

Reflection on the use of Camtasia

Camtasia is a software suite created and published by TechSmith. It is a powerful software application that enables us to create a professional- looking videos for video tutorials and presentations. It has plenty of intuitive features that make the production of stunning visuals quick and easy.

We as the citizen of digital, videos are one of the powerful tools that can be used for teaching and learning. Most of the children love watching and they learn through it (visual learners). Researchers have also found that most of the children spent time in watching and playing online. Students can spent their time in watching the meaning academic related videos if teachers can share authentic and attractive video tutorials. So, as a teacher, it is must to have some basic video editing skills and competencies to enhance the learning of the students.  

Therefore, to edit the videos, Camtasia is powerful software that we (teachers) can use. This is because it has enough powerful features to create and edit the videos. We can import audios and video (any existing media) on board and make into creative process. By simply drag and dropping various icons, shapes, texts or clips, we can make our videos look more powerful and meaningful. Moreover we also have an option of selecting the animated backgrounds to use to make more attractive. 
Hence, Camtasia is a powerful constructive tool to enrich the students with knowledge. It also helps the teachers to prepare, manipulate and organize the information clearly and attractively. It is must for every teacher to use this software as a digital citizen.
